Doe's anybody know of anyone that makes leathers for those of us that are a little larger than the average person. I have been looking for some pants for a while and everybody makes them at least one size to small for a larger guy like me. I wear a 44 but figure that I should get a size bigger just in case I need to wear some extra insulation underneath. Anybody have any suggestions BigR
I've been very pleased with a pair of leather jeans made for me by Mars Leather in Melbourne Australia.
After a few years of eating, I found that the leather had "shrunk". I went back and they modified them to fit me for a few years more.
They do good work, and are reasonably priced, IMO

Why are you asking us? :pardon:
Arnie, sounds like your closet has been infested by the dreaded 'shrink mites'... BTDT
Bates will do custom leathers for whatever size you want. Dunno how comfy for regular use, I know a bunch of racers that swear by them though.
try cyclegear , they have a wide selection for manly men of girth and stature. :good2:
I have been looking there and they have some stuff, but I am a little larger around the middle(44-46) and all the sizes are close but they say that you should order one size up. That is a problem. I found some armoured pants on the Xelement site for 70 bucks which is about half price and they have pretty good reviews so I am seriously thinking about a pair of them. I bought a pair of trackstar boots and some Alpinestar gloves from cyclegear and I am really with the boots. The gloves are more of a summer glove and I haven't tried them yet. Thanks for your answer Mark. Big R
we are the same size it would seem and I found the bilt line of leathers to be exactly a good fit . the 46 were a bit big and the 44's perfect.
so if you want some room get the 46's.
so far good quality and I haven't killed them yet. :good:
i have the cycle gear ones and like Mark I haven't killed them yet... I thought they were a good value at 99 bucks. Stitching has been good and Ive had them for about a year now,
They have racer type and then the ones I have that don't have the velcro for the puck.
