Title: bandaid
Post by: chrisz29 on March 22, 2012, 01:39:22 PM
So after being away for a while I'm back at it with fj1100.........I'm finally tired of putting band aids on it one day to encounter another problem the next. Yesterday I got my complete gasket set (top to bottom) from parts-n-more.....got my 4 into 1 Vance and Hines exhaust last week. But there are still a buttload of parts I need to order ...stainless bolt kit.........rpm oil cooler......carb jet kit.......braided brake and clutch lines......and some other stuff I can't think of right now......but thanks to all of you ...I actually know what I need and how to fix it. So thanks to all in this forum. Hopefully I'll have it knocked out quickly and back on the road. But seeing as I am replacing everything down to the bolts and rubber mounts it may be a while.......lol............but once again thanks to all for the info and details about these bikes .

Supersport system, I presume? If so, you'll like the deep throaty sound. I sure liked it on my ZX-11.

Best wishes on the rest of your adventure. Sounds like you're going pretty far into it.

You might look at relocating your oil drain while everything is torn apart.  I'be got a V&H on my '87 and accessing the drain plug is a pain in the ass.
