Does any one know how the stock rear blinkers attach to an 89 FJ1200? When I purchased this bike it had small stream lined after market blinkers. Friends who ride with me tell me they can barely see them operate. Also, when I sling on a pair of soft saddle bags, the streamlined blinkers are covered by the bags. I purchased a set of stock blinkers but I can't for the life of me figure out exactly where they are supposed to fasten to the bike!? I've looked at photos & it looks like the bolt through the rear fender. I see no holes in the rear fender on this bike for the stock blinker to mount through. This fender does appear to be cut down, however I've looked up the rear fender on the Yamaha parts fiche and see no holes for the stock blinkers to mount through there either! HELP! :flag_of_truce: :flag_of_truce:
This might help.

It wouldn't help me, if I didn't already know.... #22 & 23 in the 'fiche bolts to a bracket that is welded to the subframe, under the tailpiece, on either side. You can kinda see it here (http://fjowners.com/gallery/1/medium_818_30_10_10_4_18_34_3.jpeg)
just need those 2 brackets , or make your own , should be a bol, or a hole behind the small frame cover where the bracket would or gone, (popcorn)

Nope, no holes in the plastic... The bracket sticks down between the tailpiece and the side covers. I know there're better pics out there, but I couldn't find them.
