Title: It's spring in Maine
Post by: weymouth399 on March 08, 2012, 07:18:18 AM
Well allmost. 50 degrees plus today, :shok: maybe another early spring riding season this year too.  :yahoo:
Their coming out of storage for some preseason maintenance, and probably a 50 mi ride.
Nice thing about having more than one FJ there is always a FJ to ride. :yahoo: FJ

Hey, Bob, it's only 30 degrees here and there is still snow on the ground. I just insured the fj and can hardly wait to go for a ride. My Delkivic cans should be here any day and I just have to put an order in with Randy for a clutch spring and spin on kit and a few other odds and ends. Not quite warm enough to go for a ride but getting close

There is to be a high near 70F and sunny today in the Philly area.  It was 51F when I left the house.  Thus, I made today the inaugural, take-the-bike-on-the-commute-to-work day.  First ride since late October.  I had cleaned it thoroughly late last fall so it took such a nice day for me to break the 'dirt seal'.

Lot's of gravel on the road this am as I rode in, plus cooler temps, plus new sneakers for the bike, plus rusty riding skills, so I took it real easy.

Even with my intentional mellowness, there were still a few scant moments of the fun and the thrill that is motorcycling for me.  Generally though, it felt really nice to be back on two wheels.
