Sound and quality are 1st rate, but fitment for me required the removal of the center stand, BUT, mine were sold as designed for the Euro spec XJR1300, NOT the US FJ1200, so I can't say if they will fit any better, or not.
The sound is not too loud, and they look great, and that is what I was after.

Have you removed the baffle (pretty easy one screw underneath in the back) and listened to them uncorked? I'm sure you'd have to rejet but just wondering how much difference in loudness there is.
cheers!
Yes, I had pulled the baffles out and rode it.
Not much of a difference to my ears, and no jetting changes were needed, as the engine ran very much the same, either with, or without the baffles.
So I left them in instead of loosing them in the shuffle somewhere.

I have the Delkevics as well. The note is perfect. I ran them without baffles for a while but it was a bit hard on my ears around town without earplugs. I refitted the baffles (only takes a minute) after the novelty gave way to pain and love the sound. I too had to remove my centre stand but only because it wouldn't retract far enough for riding but can be refitted in seconds (without spring) for servicing or cleaning purposes. I found the best fit came from switching the L & R intermediate pipes over. I don't think the casing is very thick and should be handled accordingly while fitting. Also, make sure they are not tucked in too close so there is clearance for the axle to pass if they're mounted within the swing arc of the back wheel.

Exactly right.
I too, switched sides on the intermediate pipes, just fit better.
And before I put the 17 rear wheel on and raised the rear, my cans made light rub marks on them from the rear axle ends.
Funny, yours were alot louder, eh?
I could hardly notice a difference, wonder why??

There was no noticable difference at idle in the garage or when revving up stationary but I did notice a big difference under load.

It's a 5.5" FZR1000 wheel with a 180/55/17 Dunlop Sportmax.
