Post by: megsy on February 26, 2012, 12:39:26 AM
Had a nice wet Day out today with the Tamworth Vintage Japanese.

13 bikes turned out for 200km ride in the rain.

A rally out in the rain you say? You are braver men than I. My bike has never seen a drop of water on her since I bought her.

But, really, a nice bunch of bikes there. And, amazingly, a CX500 in the midst. I thought that all those died long ago from embarrassment. Having owned one, I can get away with saying that.  :flag_of_truce:

I think those CX500s were underestimated. I once did a 2000kms round trip 2 up, and apart from the inevitable sore butt, she performed admirably, even on some sandy tracks. Wasn't the best handling or quickest around, but very reliable and economical.

Just my 2 cents worth.
