My 87 needed valves adjusted so I tore it down to do that. I figured "what the hell" so I took off all of the plastics and scraped off the stickers and put a "rattlecan" satin black paint job on it.
Adjusted valves
Installed spin-on adapter
New spark plugs
New bulbs in instrument cluster
Lubed speedo cable
Lubed throttle cable
Cleaned K&N's
Put on crankcase breather
Synch'd carbs
Installed new tail section with grab handles
Installed "new to me" (thanks moparman) Corbin with backrest
Now it runs like a champ and looks a little better. I still need to replace the red Tomahawks and re-install the aftermarket full lower fairing. I may have to do something about sprockets as I was on Interstate today and it was spinning at about 5000 rpm at 75-80 mph. The front forks need some attention too, but I was waiting to see what piece of "majic" Randy comes up with.
