Title: Centre stand question.
Post by: Tor-King on February 06, 2012, 07:59:04 PM
Alright--new question...

When I bought my '93 FJ, the centre stand was removed.  It was removed by the previous owner because when he bought it (imported from the States), it was hanging and did not seem to retract.  It does have an after market system; however, I believe after checking it out that it will work.  I have the stand, the bolts (which I know I need to be replaced) and the spring.  It looks all intact...except I cannot for the life of me find out where the spring attaches to to the frame!  There does not appear to be a pin or hook where there should logically be one.  I cannot find any images that show what should be there.  What exactly does the spring attach to?

Stumped and confused.  :unknown: Please help.

Thanks!  You guys rock!

That is what I remember seeing on my old FJ but it does not exist on my '93.  Somehow...maybe... it broke off?  Does anyone have any ideas as to how to repair?  I really do not want to go under there and have someone attempt to weld something on.

Thanks for replying!!
