Is there any difference in the blue paint schemes from '92 to '93?

Nope, the same colors and part #'s The ABS bike had different FJ graphics on the side covers (than the non ABS bikes) but the main fairing (cowling) is the same.

Let me give you a tip. Rather than feed you a fish, let me show you how to fish.....

If you go to the Powersports.com website:
http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/parts.html (http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/parts.html)

Look up your '92 FJ1200 (or any other Yamaha) and find the page with your part#
http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/1992/FJ1200D/COWLING+1/parts.html (http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/1992/FJ1200D/COWLING+1/parts.html)

Now scroll down to the part # shown in red. See those? Click on that part # shown in red and you will go here:
http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-3XW-W2834-20-2X.html (http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-3XW-W2834-20-2X.html)

Scroll down and you will see all the other Yamaha's which share this same part number:

This Yamaha 3XW-W2834-20-2X BODY, COWLING is also used on these models and components:

1992 ABS - FJ1200AD COWLING 1
1992 ABS - FJ1200ADC COWLING 1
1992 FJ1200D COWLING 1
1992 FJ1200DC (CA ED.) COWLING 1
1993 FJ1200AE COWLING 1
1993 FJ1200AEC (CA ED.) COWLING

Pat, that's a great source of info on interchangable parts of the various FJ and other Yamaha models. I have used it countless times during my bout of moditus. If it isn't already, why not post it as a sticky or list it in the file section? Just a thought.  Regards, Pete.
