All,
Even though its January here in Maine, it won't be long until it's that time again so I decided to get going on this years upgrade. Looking around for new rotors and found some from Craig in Cali, he turned me on to this site. Going to be doing a whole front end upgrade this year so I'm getting all the parts and advice I can before I start.

Let me be the first to welcome you here and i can't wait to see the bike :good2:
Welcome Jason, Bob from Topsham here. We have a maine FJ rally every year, we call it the NEFJR but it's a Maine thing. :rofl2:
Lots of FJ stuff here.\

Welcome Jason. Now that you've registered, you can check out the Files section also. The entire site is a great resource. Enjoy.

Welcome to the group!
Good to have you on board friend!
KOokaloo!
See Jason,
I told you that the folks here are nice and very welcoming. Have you looked through the files section yet? There is a wealth of information and great ideas on how to make the FJ look and run like a current bike.
Anyway, hope you can find some suitable rotors. I really think that mine are toast. I'll keep them around for an emergency or if someone here is in desperate need. There is the racerboy on ebay that sells aftermarket ones. I have heard mixed reviews, but do a search here and read what others have said for yourself.
Again, welcome to the club,
CraigO
Welcome to the group Jason, there is a few Mainers here hangin' out and waiting for spring.
Hope to see ya on the road someday :drinks:

I nice set of Blue dots ( see upgrade/mods) would go perfect with your bike.
nice job
stevecc
Thanks, I just so happen to have a set of blue dots in garage waiting to go on. Going to go with R1/R6 M/C and SS lines too.
Open to suggestions for fork upgrades, what springs/fork oil do you recommend?
Jason,
Nice FJ you have there. Really looks sweet.
As far as front end mods, I have read that the racetech emulators are the hot ticket. Randy at RPM would most likely be your best bet. Look him up and give him a call. He strongly supports the FJ with OEM and upgraded parts. I also understand that he is one hell of an engine builder.
When my motor starts to get tired, he will be the one that will rebuild her.
BTW, rotors on the way. Hope they work out for you.
CraigO
Welcome Jason, yep blue dots and a 14mm m/c will fit right in with your bike. A neat upgrade.
RE: Your forks: Put some fresh seals and bushings in first.

I see you have your bike set up with luggage for touring, so I recommend some 1.0kg/mm straight rate springs;

If you can wait a bit, Randy @ RPM will have some new cartridges which will fit in your front forks.
These will be Light years better than the oem damper rod set up.
Cheers! Pat
