Title: guage cluster hummmmmm innng

so its around 22 degrees f in the morning. and have a huming from the cluster i believe its the speedo cable. the speedo does bounce ( 30-40) if that makes since. just woundering if any one has had a simmilar prob and can share thanx.

It does sound like cable take off and clean then lube. This will help tremendously.
I would use WD40 to clean, and to lube not much thicker maybe chain wax, or lube, white lith.

Or your speedo is telling you it is too FREAKING cold to go for a ride!!!  :ireful:

Make sure your speedo cable is in good condition, lubed and both ends are snug. If the humming continues it will likely get worse with milage and then total failure. The internal bushings wear out and the shaft in the bushings starts to bounce around making noise and causing the needle to jump arround. Start looking for a replacement or a repair shop that can fix the small Japanese speedos.

Sounds good I ordered the cable I 25.00 what the hell. O monkey its never to cold my truck sits. Lol pretty mild winters there in east tn. Thanx to global warming hahahahah  :i_am_so_happy:

cable broke due to the speedo seazied its free now a lil wd 40 some easy touch and were on our way
