Most wind screens are unique to the bike and year(s). Check Ebay and there are some after market screens still available. The best quality seems to be Eagle screens but they are over the pond from us in the USA. If you post the year of your FJ then another member might have a spare to sell.

Doesn't answer your question about retrofitting one from another bike however if you are looking for a aftermarket replacement try

Checked ZG Outlet on ebay, but they don't have anything for an '86.  However, any of you 89-90 riders looking for a stock-size or sport touring (taller) smoke windscreen, they have brand new first quality for about $75 including shipping.  I paid that for a "second" last year.  Found that the taller sport touring screen redirected the blast so it didn't hit me right under the chin bar.  Sorry I couldn't offer any help on the 86 screen.
