Hi fjmonkey and other club members,my name Darrel, male of age 45 from Queensland Australia. When i was 18 i had 85 Rg 250 stroke road bike, years later a early 80's GSX 750 and these day's just my motocrosser. My wife and i are small time mix farmers, mostly producing droughtmaster X beef cattle. The reason i have join your club is because i recently bought a extreme offroad (toy) cart, buggy which has a i believe has 89 fj1200 engine to power it.When i get bored with four wheels, i jump on my 00 cr250 which i recently rebuilt after blowing the dam thing up after only owning for no more than 6 hour riding. This was due to the fact that last owners had reused a circlip on the piston.Have know rebuilt a few 2strokes but have not had a lot to do with 4 strokes.Wish to learn.Darrel M.
Hi Darrel
Welcome to the forum.I have worked on a few 2 strokes in my time.I had a couple of rz250's then an rz500.I have found the fj1200 probably easier to work on,particularly compared to the twin crank v4 rz500!.I always admired the sporty look of the rg's :good:.Never got to ride one though :cray:.Plenty of good info on this site and a great bunch of helpful knowledgeable people. You will have your buggy running sweet in no time!
Cheers :drinks:

Nice intro, good bunch of blokes and a few sheilas that ride FJs are here. This site contains tremendous knowledge on the FJ (its nearly bullet proof engine). Some it in the files, some in the postings and maybe just a little more in the grey matter in our heads. Enjoy.
