Title: help req to id fj1200 year

hi all i got a little prob i got a bike with a motoe number of 50K-001170 now this is not one of the standard fj1200 numbers
also it has a man date of 3/92 and a vin code of JYA4AYTO0NA001381 if anyone can help please do

Not exactly sure what the problem is. Clearly defining the problem is about 50% to 90% of solving the problem. Seems like you have a 92', a bike with more stock upgrades than my 86. Is English your second language? The written part is kind of hard to read... We like to help, just don't make it too hard for us simple minded blokes to read....

ok so when i look at the service manual it has a list of prefix for model year and i cannot find my one in the manual
also from what you say i need the 92 service manual at the min i have the 91

Take some time to search our files and posts. Many questions have been asked and answered already. You will get a warmer welcome when you come in with knowledge from searching the files first.

the reason why i asked about the year is some companys run models by financial year date not calendar year

thanks for that page that helped heaps apparently my bike is a 92 model.
