A mate is having his send off today, Woodsie is his name.
56 years old, leaves behind a wife of 30 years and two sons, both in their early twenties.
Marsh & I stayed at Woodsies place at Collombatti earlier this year.
Woodsie suffered grevious head injuries when he came off his Triumph Thunderbird about 800 meters from his house on the 23rd October.
He'd been to see a neighbourhood mate and because it was close by and on a deserted country dirt road, he didn't bother wearing his helmet that day.
His wife commented that she'd never, in all the time they'd been together, known him to ride without one.
The decision was made to switch the life support off a couple of days ago.
The funeral is today.
Vale Jim.

Godspeed, Woodsie...
Thoughts and prayers to his family and mates....
Very sorry to hear that. He looks like he was a cool guy.
Ride on, brother man!
I only met Woodsie once - He held a get-together in my honor at his house and put Klavdy and I up for the night in beds. I only saw him ride a motorcycle once. I was following behind him briefly when he jumped the train tracks. I did not get enough speed to fully clear them and my rear wheel landed on the diamond plate (in the rain) between the tracks and slid out on me what felt like 3 feet to the right. I saved it and tried to keep up again - only to start fishtailing in the mud on the dirt road we were on. I then cut the throttle and swallowed my pride. He was one crazy riding son of a bitch!
God speed Woodsie - Rest in Peace!
