recieved the 17" wheel today, though it only needed a bearing, turns out i need the spacers as well, it has the innner wheel one and a short stepped spacer i think goes on the disk side, just wondering if washers could be used , or if there are pictures hiding on here, wheel is an 88/89 j/k 750 model

mmmmmmm I think you have bought a 4,5" rim. The recommended fitment is 160/60/17. You need a 5,5" rim to fit a 170/60/17 or 180/55/17, >90 SACS 750/1100 models
You only need 2 big flat washers at each side. See my web, rim swaps section
Hi Alf , your right mate , its a 4.5 rim, has a 170 tyre fitted, ,if I can make it work I will ,as I can't afford another , if I get too stuck there are 2 machining places not far away, and one deals only in stainless good work and prices , ,going into surgery soon so I can't even test fit ,and still waiting on the caliper bracket ect ect , kind regards rod
