Does anyone know the proper adjustment for the rear engine mount bumper on my '91 model? It is located on the bottom left side of the engine, on the frame cross tube, and has a locknut with a slotted screwdriver head adjuster. I loosened the nut and got a half a turn tighter on it, but not sure where it actually should be. The Clymer service manual that came with the bike makes no reference to this bumper. Any clues anyone?
Bump, I'd also be curious if anyone knows this.
I tried adjusting this on my '93 once, but it appeared to be stripped. My guess would be to screw it in until it makes light contact then tighten down the locknut.
If you're engine is getting buzzy, try cleaning and lubing the front motor mounts.

yes highly recommended I have just done mine and it made a tremendous difference, but if you do attempt this make sure you are well and truly lubricated before you start, about 10 beers should be about right :drinks: as it hangs on and hangs on then gives up making a terrifying sound like you have destroyed everything when you really haven't :good2:
:drinks: what if i only have 6 beers?
If you only have 6 beers, make sure you have a designated beer runner on speed dial who can fetch more beer for you. May want to have them pick up a pizza at the same time. :nyam2:

You can always chase them with tequila.
