Title: Newbies
Post by: craigo on October 14, 2011, 11:56:23 AM
Hey all you Newbies,

How about ponying up for some contributions to Marsh to support this site?  I see a lot of you guys asking a lot of questions and getting great info.

You don't have to contribute your life savings, $10-$20 will do.  As I have found this site amazingly helpful in my times of need, my small contribution has paid huge dividends when info is needed.

Show your love and give today,  :good2:

I agree with Craig,

i know we're in a recession but this place is super nice as compared to other forums on the net.

we have freedom of speech and a guns section!

every little bit helps i'm sure!

The FJ Owners hat was a good incentive for club donations. You get to help the club and get a cool hat. I could use a new hat, I wore mine out. Maybe take up a count and get some revenue for Marsh to keep the club motor in the Kookaloo zone.

Hi Fellow FJ'ers and Newbies

I have not long joined the site myself. When I found this site :yahoo: (and figured out the search function ) I very quickly figured out the collective depth of knowledge on this site deserves great respect. So if you want repair, rebuild, modify, upgrade or "anything else" your FJ,you can't afford not to support this site :shok:

In between riding your FJ you will also probably have a good laugh  :rofl2:,correspond with interesting people all over the world :mail1:,share experiences , learn a thing or two :scratch_one-s_head:,and make new friends :hi:

So I say a big THANKYOU to all those who contribute to this site.I will continue to do so.

Ride safe & Cheers :drinks:

I consider myself a newbie and would like to make a $ contribution....  It took me a second to find the DONATE button at the bottom of the "Most Recent Posts" page....

Thanks Craigo for the reminder and thanks Marsh for the effort and thanks to all the helped me with knowledge as I tackled the mods on my FJ!

I would like to donate, so can someone please remind me on the 25th and 26th of the month(PM me) as then I will have money again.

I know its cheap but I'll doante 5$ this month and hopefully next month, the month after that and so on. I feel I have actually abused this site and would like to also give back.

Thanks to Marsh for continuing with site and giving so many members a chance to be apart of it!

I normally don't comment on these types of threads - but I just wanted to chime in and say that I have received many new donations in the last several days.  It has been VERY much appreciated!   :good2:   Thank you all!

Marsh,

Thank you for seeing the need for such a site.  We all have greatly benefited from your efforts and passion for an open, yet tolerant forum that focus is the FJ, yet transcends that.

I have received from what were total strangers much of their time and expertise, with no thought of any compensation.  Kind of a "pay it forward" if you will. For that, I will always give of myself here what ever I can contribute.

Great forum made by great members,

Thanks,

CraigO

Sorry, I'm a noobie. On the several sites (car & bike) most don't read the intro's, we just jump in share info and gather intelligence as quickly as we can. I've never had anybody call us out, sooooo.... I'm Bill (hi Bill....) and I'm an addict. Right now I have four bikes Seca 900 (problem child), 1000R Aprilia (absolute beast), FJ600 (great commuter), and a Sporster (won't ever have less than one in the garage). I have a fetish for vintage wrist watches, and antique furniture, drive a 72 Lemans 400/400 car. I live in riders heaven, Socal, and I volunteer mentor at risk kids, when I'm not riding or working.

This site has already helped me greatly, even though mine is a baby FJ. I try the search mode, sometimes find what I'm looking for, but usually get an answer faster posting, or e-mailing the guys, who've talked me through several procedures and found me parts.

I greatly appreciate all the help you guys give and hope nobody is insulted with my lack of knowledge on these bikes, but I go through bikes faster than most change thier shorts, so finding a site like this is very vaulable. If I can ever help anybody in Socal, don't hesitate to contact me. Hope this brings me into the good graces of you bright gentlemen...

SORRY.... I added this to the wrong thread, I did however just send a dontaion. When I come across a site with this amount of info, I do like to support them...

There lies the key and is what I'm used too. If this site want's intro's first build it into the protocol. Some of these fella's here feel site ownership a little to tight. :scratch_one-s_head: Not the owner of the site....some of the members. Lighten up. You know who I'm talking about.
