Randy, I hope you don't mind....I set this post as a sticky so it will always be at the top of the page.

Let me know when you and Bill connect (it's just a matter of time) and I will remove the sticky.

Well, through several members I was able to acquire a different phone number for Bill. I called today and left a message with the person who answered.

She said he gets in "real late". I explained to her I was in California, so he can call anytime since I am a couple of hours behind and I will still be up & around.

I am pretty certain he is still alive, he logged on again this morning; Today at 01:11:49 AM and I presume I spoke to his wife yesterday and she told me he was working. I glad to see he took the time to email you at your first request, I haven't heard a work from him in five months.

Now the back story to the reason I am trying to reach Bill...

Back in January 2011 I started working with a company to make a shim pack fork valve for the FJ. I was told by several members that Bill was the fork guru and would be the best person to do testing for the FJ forks as he does fork work for a living.

I contacted Bill and he said he needed to rebuild Dean's forks and would install them in there and start the testing once the weather was good enough to ride in.

He then contacted me asking if I had a stock set of fork tubes because he needed some parts, which I sent to him.

Fast forward to June and I still have not heard anything from Bill when a member inquires about the testing and Bill posts to the Forum that he has installed them in Dean's forks, but won't be able to install them on the bike until next week.

Quote from: the fan on June 14, 2011, 08:53:42 PM
Actually I am using Dean Narramores bike. I installed them last night and have a second set of forks equipped with emulators to compare them with. Unfortunately I am leaving for Barber tomorrow and won't be able to put the forks on the bike or test ride until next week.

Fast forward again to July when I start sending him PM messages on the forum and emails inquiring about the testing and an update, no word.

That brings us up to today, I have left countless voice messages on his cell phone, PM's from this forum, emails directly to him and he will not contact me.

At this point I really just want to get the valves and the tools to work on them back so that I can send them to someone that can do some independent testing for me. The riding season for 2011 here in the U.S. is quickly ending and I would have liked to have this product refined and available to the FJ owner so they had an option when doing their winter work.

Thanks Dean for emailing him, can you tell me if the valves ever got installed on your bike? If they did not is there a possibility you or someone in the area can go by and pick them up and send them back to me?

He can keep the other fork parts I sent to him, I really need to move forward on this new product, as I had to invest capital to start design & production. This is the same company that I am working with on a rear shock package as well, which they have been relucant to do since the fork valves have not come to completion yet.

Any help a fellow forum member can assist me in this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

it may be that someone else is using Bill's computer.... if FJ owners is set as his home page then it would appear as if he is logging in when in actuality it is someone else.

I've known Bill for a long time... there has to be some extenuating circumstances going on.

Well,

We went racing over the weekend and upon my return I see a big conversation about from fork valves.

Unfortunately there is still no word from Bill about the valves I sent him to test, I have not received them back, or received any type of communication.

I see he hasn't logged onto the site since my last update on the 25Th.

Bill, please just send my parts back to me.

And if anyone is in contact with him, please pass along my request to return the parts.

I was wondering if this was what it was all about, because I'm ready to do the emulator mod soon, and I'd like to see what you have to offer before I look into the Race Tech parts.

Good Luck with this, Randy.

Well Pat,
I think they are going to work excellent, but I was hoping with the requested and accepted assistance of Bill, the fine tuning would have been completed last spring-early summer. (Which he even admits to here on the forum).

But since he has not logged on since 10/25, I guess I have exhausted the last source where he would check in to possibly get a message to him.

Like I have stated before, he will not return my emails, PM's, voice mails or even the message left at home; let alone address this post. Many forum members who are acquainted with Bill say that I have been putting pressure on him, well I beg to differ. When I agree to someone that I am going to do something, I get it done.

Heck, Bill even sent me two sets of carbs last year which when I received them were damaged in shipping. Not only did I preform the work requested, I had the broken carb heli-arc welded prior to returning it; and it did not take me 9 months to get it done; more like a week or two.

Since I have not been able to make contact with Bill, I have spoke to the valve manufacture last Friday and I have to now purchase another two sets to continue the testing process.

Like I stated in my last post; if someone would ride by and pickup my parts, contact Bill and ask him to either get a hold of me or send the parts back, that would sure be a benefit to the FJ owners who are looking to upgrade their suspension.

The items I need returned from Bill;

1) Set of fork valves
1) Shim assortment
1) Tool used to disassemble the valve.

I will gladly pay the return shipping cost if someone from the group is so inclined to retrieve them and sent them back. Heck, I will even offer a discount on a future order from my website if someone picks them up and sends them back to me.

If not, then Bill has "won". I will no longer call him, email or PM him and he can keep the valves because he has burned the bridge.

It is amazing how a couple of members have told me these posts are counterproductive and "he will dig in his heels..." These post would not have started if he would have just returned a phone or email. He could have then told me, "sorry, I am just too busy to help you with this" or "Man, I have been slammed I hope to get to them in the next two weeks."

But he has chosen silence...and my confusion is, what is he digging in his heels about?

Not wanting to help?
Not wanting to send back the parts?
Because I am pressuring him?

What does he have to resist against?

Maybe someday he will speak up and give his position and and why he has been so "resistant".

Because when you tell someone something and commit to something, then maybe you should stand by your word...

I would like to send out a Thank you to Jon Cain. I emailed Jon to see if he could and/or would try and help me in getting the fork valves back from Bill since I wasn't able to get in touch with him.

I received a message from Jon on Monday that a package was headed my way and it arrived today. All of the items, not just the valves, I had sent to Bill for testing were retrieved by Jon and he shipped them back to me.

I just wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude of Jon going out of his way to help me, and member of this forum.

Jon, it is members like you that make this a great place to be a part of.

Thank you again and have a Merry Christmas.

Most definitely an asset to our forum.
