Took a spin around east central Florida last night.
Decided to ride, boarded my trusty 1992 Yamaha FJ-1200 and headed south.
From Orlando, Turnpike south to Highway 60, east to Vero Beach, north on A1A to a rest stop at Sebastian Inlet State Park. (I have an annual Florida State Park pass. Excellent deal. Gives reason to go explore!!!)
Walked east on the jetty to experience the salt air. Weather was clear with a couple of lightning displays off in the distance. Seas were fairly calm. Not many fish seemed to be biting; only a handful of fisher-people were out.
Continued north on A1A through Melbourne Beach to Cocoa Beach to Titusville to Mims. Had to stop in Cocoa to wipe the salt spray off my visor and glasses.
Stopped in Mims to walk around for a few minutes and stretch; enjoyed an ice cream sandwich.
West on Highway 46, through Sanford to Mt. Plymouth.
South on Mt. Plymouth road through some of the best (only?) examples of "twisties" in all of Florida. Passed one of my favorite parks (Rock Springs AKA Kelly Park, county park known for inner tubing, sunbathing, hiking, swimming and picnicking) A little further south through Apopka, and then slightly east to home!
I ***LOVE*** my FJ-1200 __SO MUCH__!!!
