I got up a little early to ride 1.5 hours to Vienna, Austria. Not a super long ride, but WHAT A NICE DAY. I had to pay about $10 to use the Hungarian and Austrian highways, but it was SO worth it. As soon as I got there, my work called and needed me to come in. Figures.
I got my shopping in anyway - got a new helmet for my son and a new speedometer cable at a Hein Gericke store. They had some nice riding jackets on sale there, but maybe I'll get one next time. On the return ride, I held the old FJ at about 110 MILES per hour for at least 1/2 hour on the Austrian "Autobahn." What a rush. For those who have never driven in Europe, I must tell you that I love cruising in the left lane while the other drivers peel off to the right to get out of your way and allow you to pass. NICE. ZERO road rage! I think I've mentioned that about 50 times on this forum before. :pardon:
When I got home, I told my wife how much I enjoyed the trip today. She smiled and said, "I know you did." I think she understands that motorcycling is in my blood... permanently.
