Title: stebel nautilus compact dual-tone air horn
Post by: delarbreavous on August 18, 2011, 08:12:17 PM
I'm interrested in installing this contraption on my bike, where can it be installed without cutting anything?

Thanks,
Alain

Alain, if you don't have an airbox, that would be a great place to put it. I hear they need to be kept dry or they die pretty quickly.

As Joe says, it can go where the air box was if you've removed it.  That is where I installed mine.  Still really damn loud.

Another options is in the faring.  If you're careful one could separate the compressor and trumpets then use a small piece of hose between the two.  You do have to keep the compressor vertical or they say it'll burn up.

I put mine in the same place as the original horn
I built a little bracket and also used an 8mm wide plastic zip tie
Part of it hangs about 30mm below the fairing but doesnt bottom out on the front fender at all

Its a damn tight fit and it takes a bit if fiddling but it fits and doesnt rub on anything

and yes - its damn loud - glad I wear earplugs...
