Title: duel horns , high ,low
Post by: fj11.5 on August 02, 2011, 03:48:33 AM
The horns from an xjr will bolt straight onto where the standard horn bracket bolts onto,, perfect fit between the fork tubes, only needed 2 lengths. Of wire , 2 female spade clips and 2 female with male spade included,, nice loud duel tones

I've got some crazy Japanese super horn with a full on trumpet outlet, it sounds like a truck... a very small truck.

.  I seen that type on eBay , thought about going for the super loud ones , but wanted to tidy up the front, fairly loud with a relay and out of the way

While this won't fit up in the fairing of my '87 I did put it under the seat where the air box was.  At 139db, I have managed to get one person to throw their cell phone out the car window.  Picture dumbass cager yapping away on their phone while driving.. blow the horn since they are not paying any attention.. Driver hears horn, panics thinking a freight train is about to run them over.  While scrambling to grab the wheel with both hands the phone goes flying out the window.

I would recommend it to anyone who really wants to be heard.  :)

That story cracks me up every damn time you tell it ......

It is safe to say that *All of us* at one time or another, have always wanted to do this to negligent drivers.

Thanks Garth!

I love my 139dB airhorn...
I havent gotten a phone thrown out the window but I have had a dumb ass drunken teenager go from shouting abuse to screaming in terror!

Buses also get out of my way thinking they are about to mate with a truck!

The biggest hassle was making it fit!

I believe the horn will be a great addon to the open V&H pipe.
