Title: Hi from Tassie.
Post by: FJ12 on May 10, 2009, 04:28:32 AM
Hi people, my name is Colin and i am in Burnie, Tasmania, i have been riding since i was about 13 and have had a lot of different bikes over the years including the first xs 1100 and the first fj 1100 in 84. Unfortunatly i sold the fj a couple of years later and have only got back on bikes about 12 months ago with a 86 fj. It is a little bit tired and needs some T L C but as you all know they still go pretty hard. About 3 months ago i found a 94 fj with low kms so grabbed that and now have 2 (and love it). The 94 has had emulators put in the forks and rear shocker rebuilt (not by me) and it handles like a dream but apart from that both bikes are pretty standard. Anyway love reading this forum and seeing and reading about all these fj's and the amazing work you guy's put in to them. If there are any other fj owners in Tassie it would be good to get together some time and maybe have a bit of a ride.
Regards Colin

Hi Colin,

I'll post when I'm next going to be over with a bike.  Ride sounds good.
Likewise, post when you come over to the big island :-)

Hi Colin
Welcome mate. Also you must be a close neighbour as Burnie is just down the road from Gawler. The blokes here know heaps.
