Title: how to reinforce the assembly rod headlight adjuster?
Post by: delarbreavous on July 15, 2011, 10:02:53 AM
Simple,

Just use two layers of flexable heat shrink tubing. It does the job!

You mean the assembly rod headlight adjuster that rattles all the time??

Great Idea Alain.  The next time I have my fairing off, I will do that.  I've strapped it off with a piece of plastic wire tie to stop it from buzzing but the heat shrink seems like a better fix.

Alain,
Looks like a great solution, however its a little late for mine. I took the fairing off a few weeks ago to repair the cracks and busted tabs. I found the adjuster rod u-joint had worn one of the ears off of the yoke. :ireful: I'll remember that tip for when I replace it!
