Post by: BSI on June 20, 2011, 12:16:40 AM
I've searched buy can't find if anyone has used 1999 GXSR 750 front and rear wheels...I may have chance to buy a couple, not sure but I think the rear maybe 6" rim, I do know the tire is 190...is this a good year GXSRer for wheels for FJ conversion or bad choice?...thanks very much for any advice

Any of the Suzuki 17" wheels up to 5.5" wide can be used with very little hassle.  The 6" wheel may give you clearance problems wrt chain run.  If you do buy any Suzuki wheels, make sure you get all the pieces like cushdrive/sprocket carrier, spacers, brake hanger, torque arm, and wheel (of course).

Cheers,
Arnie

thanks Arnie...yeah, I got to thinking after posting that a 6" / 190 would not be something I would want to tackle....OK, OK newbie here will think before he posts again   :scratch_one-s_head:

thanks!

Also thinking the '94(?) up gixxer uses a larger diameter hollow axle which may add to the challenge. Anything can be done but why make it more difficult?
