Title: Returning FJ owner
Post by: PRSCD on June 04, 2011, 02:19:23 PM
Hi
I owned an original FJ1100 from 1985 to 1987 and now I have just bought a 'project' from ebay. I am expecting the bike with seized calipers and rust in most places to be delivered tomorrow.
I loved the comfort and power of the FJ and something said - 'Go on, you know you want to', when I saw this poor neglected specimen on ebay. Any advice would be appreciated, especially with spares etc. I intend to strip it and rebuild to original.
Having seen the price of spares and the services I will need to rebuild it, I suspect it will be a labour of love.

Hi PRSCD!
A noble endeavor to be certain. Fill us in on your motorcycle past and maybe hint at where you are so folks can begin the exodus of 1100 parts flowing towards you.

Welcome to the group!

It must be a labor of love (and patience) in order to be successful.

I have faith in you brother!

The bike wants nothing but to transport you in comfort, safety and style  :good2:

Long live the Kookaloo!
