Title: FJ Water Pump?
Post by: Hemi Bob on May 25, 2011, 10:42:41 PM
Today I was looking on eBay for part sometime you never have enough. I found a used water pump for a fj1100/1200
this could  be a big help when stuck in traffic. To bad it does not include a rad and yes  a water  cooled fj engine.

took my 85 1100 out for a ride this weekend still going easy on the new engine only has 800km on it pulls very hard
I love it couldn't help a quick twist of the right hand  200km it was amazing and that last stainless steel Remus exhaust that I bough on eBay sounds beautiful  nice and  deep and still very shinny.

I also noticed that Delkevic_US has a 14" slip on's for 92-96 FJ1200's on eBay.

There's an example of the breed.  I wouldn't bother, you'll have to sort a bunch of plumbing as well as a radiator, though I suppose it'd be a bit quieter.  Further the head would stay air cooled, so you'd have to retain good airflow there, really hindering the radiator placement.

Hay Andby Thanks for the info I still think the water pump had nothing to do with a fj1100 motorcycle. your very right the plumbing would drive you nuts.
my 85 fj had some over heating issues but the problems were  typical cylinder 2/3 I have a set of jebs lower fairings on the bike and that does not help
the situation.   $1300.00 for a block is a lot of cash makes sense for a legends car but not so much for a bike.I picked up a drag raced 84fj with a hole in the transmission
from where the chain use to be, not sure what I'm going to do with it  but a 1300.00 block is probably not the place to start.
Thank for your help and  its true we learn someting every day.
