I just picked up a 1986 FJ1200 with 24,000 miles on it from a friend at work. I have not had a bike for about 12 years now. The last one I had was and 1986 FZX700. Had several other street and dirt bikes for 25 years before that one. When this one came up for sale, there was no doubt that I had to get back into this sport. It is a great bike with a great following. Looking forward to some riding.

Welcome to the group!
86's are the best looking year for sure..... be careful until you get the rust off your riding skills.
KOokaloo!

I agree: the 86 is the best looking by a mille. And the ugliest is the last one, I think
Welcome fellow '86 Newbie. I took my '86 for a ride to the Fathers' Day Show & Shine at the local Hooters last year. When I was done looking at the cars I came back to find a group of people admiring my bike. I was asked why it wasn't with all the other show vehicles. What an ego boost.

Welcome! Should I call you FJ Bob? We are kinda on a first name basis here... So the last bike you had was the FZX7?
Well lad you are in for a big suprise with your FJ1200.....
Hold on and yell Kookaloo!!!! Yell real loud! Hint: Above 100 it helps if you can tuck your helmet below the windscreen.
Welcome Bob. You're in good company here.
