Title: replacement mirrors
Post by: big r on May 01, 2011, 06:03:13 PM
Can anyone tell me who makes the best replacement mirrors or which ones are the easiest to fit my 86. The stock ones are starting to cloud over and the right one is broken and held together with black electrical tape(PO). Thanks guys. Big_r_

You can go to your local glass company they can replace the glass part.
The stock mirror's are slightly convex, most aftermarket ones are not. The stock also have a dampner inside, again the aftermarket don't

The glass is only part of the problem. The pivot is shot on the right hand mirror and is held together with tape, was so fixated on getting the tires and such on I did not notice until today . At speed the mirror keeps falling down so I am looking at the back of the bike instead the of watching for the local constabulary coming up behind me. Need a complete RH mirror stem.

I was told by a very good source that GYMP are cheaper north of the boarder, like by a lot.
Maybe he will say something, so check with your local dealer.
It would be good to have some of you guy's up north, check with your local dealers to see if they can/will help the group, like I did with Woody's here in Maine.
