There is SO much hype about this. I really don't care! Maybe if I lived in England or something. My kids and wife are all wrapped up in it - researching what the princess wore, watching reporters give comments on other's reaction to her dress, blah blah blah... Google and Yahoo changed their text to promote this wedding. I'd prefer 72 pt. black Arial font. What practical impact is there for me? Will this event make my FJ quicker or faster?
Maybe this is all fueled by too much estrogen in the world. I couldn't post this on FaceBook because I would offend everyone over there. I think something taught at Klavdy's School of Offense is that it's easier to throw a crap grenade somewhere where people don't know you.

Good rant - get it off your chest. Think about the British Royals as a real-life soap opera about a wealthy but totally dysfunctional family. Prince Charles apparently a guy who puts the paste on his tooth brush! And as for Prince Harry - where did that ginger tosser come from? Total lack of any family resemblance. We are a lot less interested this side of the border but as you say the ladies go daft for this sort of thing. Wait 'till they start breeding and we'll have it all over again.

If one doesn't care, don't watch it. You know what they say. There're two knobs to fix what you don't like on the t.v. One to turn it off, and another to switch the channel.
I'm sure there are those who can't see why someone would salivate over motorcycles let alone get on one of those death traps. Not to mention spend time on a web site deticated to a particular brand. To each their own.
I rather liked the royal wedding myself. But it's over now, time to move on. Cheers!

Fine words of wisdom , I messed up on the other royal wedding years ago and have been paying for it ever since.
A royal wedding is a pretty awesome event to behold and though I'm not much of a flag waver, I do have a bit of a Kate boner. It's kinda alright having a royal family for folks to take an interest in. Sure they're odd, but they're just so bloody British.

Saw the Royal Wedding....it was like a car crash- you just couldn't look away even during the boring parts! Klavdy has summed it up nicely- the ladies go nuts for this stuff so best bite your tongue if you want to keep your lady smiling at you.
Gotta agree with all comments related to the smoking hotness of the Middleton women- WOW. :nyam2:
My only other thought is that in a world where we see one news story after the other demonstrating man's shallowness, willingness to murder, lack of care for fellow man etc etc etc.... This was a resounding positive note that reached 2 billion people....the world deserves to see that right now. Made me realize how few and far between the positive stories like this one are...

I had a friend that received the daily newspaper, but read it the following day so he could say, "I'm glad THAT didn't happen today."

I didn't mean to sound so "enthralled" by the weeding- was trying to say that you just don't see shit like that in the States....so even as a bore it is something new... and my girl, like so many others, was bonkers over it.
