Title: V Four Victory
Post by: 1tinindian on April 03, 2011, 09:56:09 PM
If you have never heard of, nor seen this, it is part one of a lap around Isle of Man TT in the early 80s piloted  and narrated by Joey Dunlop riding a Honda V4 race bike.

It is just amazing to see the speeds he is traveling and how close he comes to the edge of the road.
He truly mastered the TT.

Watching this will help stir the juices to get out and ride!

Damn, no subtitles. I wonder how far apart those white lines are, they sure go by quick. What skill it must take to do that without losing it! Masterful.

I read where he was hitting 160-180 MPH around the course!

Thanks for posting.  I'd been meaning to look up "V Four Victory" since I read an article of Peter Egan's in which he really sung its praises.
Speaking of Mr. Egan, his book "Leanings" is one of the best motorcycling reads that I've ever read.  It's a sort of "best of" collection of his works.  Top notch.
