I have had my 89 FJ1200 for about 4 years and the last 2 I had it put up in my shop. I am now trying to get it back up and running. I also have an 87 Corvette that I do all my own work. This will be my first time really working on a bike. I have ridden for years but usually the bikes only required minor maintenance. I think I am ready for the challenge. :)
Welcome to the group, many members work exclusively on their FJ's (won't let anyone else touch their bike, and or just love the work so much). They also quite willingly share their knowledge helping fellow bike owners out. Before long you will get infected with moditius and want to modernize your FJ in countless ways. I will soon have all the parts to have a GSXR 17" rear wheel and about half the parts to put an FZR1000 17" wheel on the front. Some members are way more adventurous and put USD forks on, braced swing arms, punched out cylinders for serious Kookalooo. First we get you up and running. Check out the files section and use the search function to find almost all the answers to questions you may have. Cheers.
Welcome to the group :hi:
The 89 is a fine year fj . How many miles on it ?
Get yourself a manual , it will make repairs and service a lot easier.
Welcome to the group!
the FJ is super easy to work on.... let us know how we can help.
KOokaloo!
