I needed a new seat cover for my corbin. I called them and they told me it was $250.00 or $369.00 for a new seat.
They wouldn't sell me the cover either, what a rip off! so I told them I would make my own.
here is the finish product.
$30 in parts!

The owner is running that company into the ground. I sure hope someone buys it soon because I'd hate to see them go under.

I have to say it looks like you did a great job on recovering your corbin . I need to have mine redone as well but with Corbin's pricing it may never happen. Where did you get your supplies? Do you do this kind of thing for a living? Well done..

I need to do something with mine, as it started splitting at the very top front over the winter.
@ $250, I don't think Corbin will be doing it for me. :negative:

I tried to buy a replacement cover and nobody sells it for the corbin seat.
A local shop told me they wanted $220.00. which was just about as bad as corbin.
I bought the material at jo-ann fabrics. They had both kinds of material that corbin had used before, but I wanted to see what it would look like made out of the one kind. and without those stupid red bead rolls, as you can tell mine are black.
It took about 6 hours to sew it up on my machine. but it was well worth it to me in the end.
I still have the pattern. if anyone want me to cut up some parts for them or even sew it together we could talk about it.
I use to make leather gun holsters, so I do have a little experience.
I'm also planing on doing my factory seat but I think I'm going to play with some memory foam or gel on that one.
one of my boys wants me to do his old CB750 seat which will be very easy compared to this one.

Thanks for the reply. I'd be very interested in a cover for my gunfighter and lady with a backrest. The Corbin I have now has a small leather check pattern on both of the seated sections and solid leather for everything else.. Let me know if you would be willing to make one up and what you would like to cover expenses and your labor and time. I totally understand if you dont want to go into the seat cover bizz...Thanks in advance.....

Nice job! I think you could have a cottage business on your hands. (if you want it) My gunfighter is so ratty looking I've gone back to the stock seat. I miss it, but I spent a lot of time polishing and waxing my plastics over the winter but all I noticed was that horrible looking seat. Think about it. Otherwise, I would be interested in the patterns. Would I need to find someone with a special sewing machine to put it together for me?

If Scott is not interested in opening up a cottage industry... (I sure as hell would not) and you're not into sewing... then I do understand that Sargent will recover your seat pan (I'm guessing that includes a Corbin pan). Although I can't imagine they're cheap, I have heard/ read where they do really good work...
