Hi my name is Keith i live in Cardiff UK im in the middle of a total rebuild of an FJ1200 1TX model every thing has been stripped back to the metal and repainted just got to put it back together but that will have to wait about three months as Ive just had a massive back operation to remove a disc and Ive got to learn to walk again first :good2:
ive had about six FJ1200 over the last 20 years and know my way around them pretty well until last week i was riding a FZS600 Fazer(cant wait to get back on it)and before that a XJ900 Diversion
will get some pictures of the rebuild as it happens :i_am_so_happy:

There'll be a welcome in the hillsides...
Wow....you've got your projects in order.
When I bust a leg, I found great threapy in fiddling with bike bits.
And welcome to the group, which is just so excellent a group that Fj ownership isn't really complete without it.
Man, I'm doing this stuff all backwards.
I too am in the middle of a rebuild. And the more I work on it, the more I want to go out and break people's bones. Mostly the prior owners'. :)
Welcome anyhow! :hi:

Keith,
Welcome to the group. Yes that FJ is truly hideous! and the corrosion - did it fall in the sea? Seriously, respect to you for taking on such a project and keep the pictures coming. Hope your back gets better.

Hi Keith, nice ot see another person from the UK here. Youve a serious project on your hands there!! Cool! lol.
Good luck with your recovery from the back op,ive not long since had my pelvis rebuild and a new hip,and found that bikes helped me mentally,to recover, even if at times i was in my workshop, unable to do anything other than look at bits and pieces and think.
Ive put my project stuff in the modification section, although with life,i havent been doing much for a while.
Keep posting to let us see how your getting on. :good2:
