I put a set on my '90 and rode it a couple of times... on the stock bars the difference was noteworthy, but I didn't do any longer rides to fully evaluate. I just got the right set for the '92 which has regular, one piece bars (this is Ritt's old setup) and the difference is astonishing. No buzz whatsoever throughout the rev range and make freeway travel (5,500 rpm for me) a completely different experience.
Thanks to whoever found these and to RPM Randy for getting us hooked up. :good:

Well, I'm happy with mine sofar.
Bill.
I've had the vibranators on the bike for over a month now, and find that a lot of the fine vibrations have disappeared. Hands feel much better especially after a long ride. If you actually touch the bar-ends while riding, you can feel how much they actually soak up.
On ya, Randy!
I have them installed on my 86 fj and the difference is very noticeable on the ride and the next day.
you can feel the vibrations in the ends but not on the hand grips.
the next day effect is evident as your hands do not ache.
Those of us who have abused our hands over the years with wrenching or repetitive motions(insert joke here) and have carpel tunnel or arthritis will see an immediate benefit.
The rest of you will just not be as sore.
Long distance rides over 500 miles are now possible again for me.
Thanks for the reviews, I sense a set of these in my future. :good2:
Rode a few times this spring without them and then put them on. Noticeably less vibration both when cruising and also just kicking around and going through the gears. Two thumbs up. Smooth is good.
can you use these with manic salamander throttle locks?

By looking at the description of the product listed, I do not see how the Vibranator can be used with it.

Up to this point I have only putted around town after I installed the Vibranators on my wife's 86 and I noted the difference but in stop & go I never did feel the full benefit. She has made several rides since I installed them and she is completely satisfied with the results and can now go for more than 30 minutes before having to stop because of the cramping of the hands.
I had to make a run yesterday and her bike was the only mode of transport since her car is at the shop and she was driving mine. So, I jumped on and took the 45 minute ride to my destination and I must say I never once took either of my hands off of the bars to stretch and flex them like I normally do when riding. I guess I never realized how much I would do it, but looking back I did it a lot. I used to run up the speed, pull in the clutch and stretch my throttle hand and then do the left hand after that. That was the most enjoyable 1.5 hours I have spent on an FJ to date.
I now notice the vibes in the foot pegs on her bike but nothing in the bars. So, last night after I got back to the shop, I took them out and screwed in the O.E. ones and the vibes are definitely there still. Now I have to get my bike back together so I can be handle vibration free as well.
Pat, I thank you for finding this product and I am proud to be able to supply such an item that has such positive results.

I really like the vibranators on my 86 and when used with the foam grips all the cramping is gone and your hands feel great the next day as well after a 4hr ride.
great product :good2:
if you don't have them yet , get them.

My pleasure. Even a blind sow occasionally finds a acorn.
Thank You Randy for selling them to us for $22.00 off the list price... Pat

Mark,
I still haven't put the foam grips on her bike, that is coming up when I install the FJR master cylinders and build the forks in the next few weeks.
Man, I have a ton of stuff to get done before the WCR...
Randy - RPM
you are cutting it real close, I hope it is all little stuff cause the rally is just a few weeks away and the big jobs always take longer than planned.

Mark, you have no idea how correct you are....... Randy has a full time (stressful) job on top of his RPM activities.
Anyone try these on an '85 yet?
type in vibranator on the search and read all the stuff, It all started with Pat's 84.
Finally got around to installing these things (on my 86) and I am regretting not installing them earlier. Granted I had some cheap crappy aluminum bar ends before (thanks PO), so the difference might be different moving from real bar ends to these guys, but this is surely the best investment I have put into the old FJ so far.
The difference for me is night and day. The bike was fine below 3500 RPM, but above that, it would vibrate like crazy: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=2909.0 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=2909.0)
Installed these and noticed a huge difference right away. Above 3500 RPM there is virtually no vibration through the bars at all. It made a 4 hour ride much more enjoyable. Only problem is, with the vibration before I could tell when I was going really fast...now I can't. I guess that makes it easier to keep up with Doug without feeling so guilty about tripling the speed limit everywhere... :empathy:

Fixed it for ya, and didn't add a single letter. Regarding tripling, I only do that when I'm trying to keep up with Travis. Or that damn FJR.
