OK OK so I know its been over a year since I posted (shame on me) and 1000 apologies (wow how this place has grown, cool) but for those who know me, its been extremely busy on the UK FJ/FJR forum during the last 12 months and that along with the FJ racing in the UK has kept me occupied. So I've neglected keeping up to date with your side of the pond - sorry.
Anyway to the reason for my sudden return. Mark and I will be making the trip across the pond to relax for 3 weeks in Florida (end Feb to mid Mar), while we're there we'll be checking out Daytona for bike week again, so we were wondering if anyone was going and if maybe they wanted to meet up?
It would be great to meet up with some fellow FJer's again, so if you fancy it then let me know and we'll arrange something. Would be a shame to travel all that way and not make new friends or even catch up with some old ones.
I will be at the track crewing for a good friend who is racing AMA supersport this season. Not sure what pit access is like, but I will be in STG pits helping out.

Excellent news, we were planning to see the races anyway so I can practice my photography ready for the start of the UK race season (www.fjracer.fotopic.net (http://www.fjracer.fotopic.net)) when we get back so wanted to get a fanzone pass which hopefully means we will see you in the pits.

Glad you like them Doug and if you do take your FJ to a track day then I'd love to see the pictures. We've been involved with the UK FJ racer project (www.fjracer.com (http://www.fjracer.com)) now since 2006 and go all over the UK, for 2011 there'll be 3/4 FJ's in the team. Mark helps out in the paddock with the bikes and I take the photos.
So to meet "the fan" at Daytona in the pits will be like a bus man's holiday but I'm looking forward to it already.
We'll be in Daytona for the whole of bike week so meeting anyone else on other days isn't a problem, just let me know where and when. However we're in Florida for a full 3 weeks (feb 26 - Mar 19) and don't mind travelling elsewhere to meet people as we do silly things like drive to Key West and back to Orlando in a day so aren't too worried about distances within FL to meet up with fellow FJer's.
Not long now and I'm getting excited. Looking forward to meeting "The Fan" and "Stantheman" so far so anyone else wanna get together somewhere?

It was great to meet both of you. Your enthusiasm is contagious... I wish I had more time to hang out but Rob (crew chief) is a bit of a slave driver.
We had a great weekend with the race team and are really looking forward to our next race at Barber.
You know you want to do a fall rally next year (popcorn)

Hi there, apols for the v v v v late reply. Its been mad here since we got back, with the start of the new race season for the FJ's over here I don't seem to have had a minute, plus my website went boom so I had to start fresh. Reloading 6 years of photos isn't fun.

We had a great 3 weeks stateside and it was a pleasure to meet you too, we had a blast. It was nice to watch all the hard work behind the scenes for a change, instead of running round like idiots ourselves. Although it took me all my time to stop Mark picking up a wrench and joining in, hehe.
As for the fall rally, stranger things have happened and you never know ;-)
