Title: TDC question
Post by: fjman on January 13, 2011, 05:21:26 AM
When I was timing the cams on my 1984 FJ1100 I have set the P/U at this position. Is this right?   :scratch_one-s_head:  :pardon:

What is the the letter T for?

That looks right and "T" is for tdc... It is hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like it is a little past the TDC mark by the timing pin in the top of the crank; but I can't be sure.

it looks like it has a 36Y below the "T" and if so that is a stock rotor and with that lined up the cams timing holes should be centered in the holes of the respective cam cap.
