Title: Friends don't teach friends how to ride.
Post by: Travis398 on January 02, 2011, 08:31:56 AM
Maybe he should have spent less time talking about the neutral light and more time talking about the brakes.

"remember you can always pull the clutch in to stop" but he failed to mention you have to apply the brakes.

Damn.  Duded likely had more than a nose bleed -mild TBI at least.

It's those first few minutes of learning how to ride that are so damn difficult NOT to wreck...  (That, and about a year or so in, when you get more confidence than skill).

Yeah, like NOT doing it in an enclosed space might be a good idea too. Somewhere without concrete walls.
Hope the bike was repairable. :dash2:

That's why I'm glad i learned on a dirt bike before anything else. You drop a dirtbike, no big deal, you drop a street bike, and you will probably be better off getting a new one.

That was a very sad video to watch. Both parties should be pissed at eachother.

What idiot would stand IN FRONT of a bike with a newbie sitting on it.  Like standing in front of a person with a loaded weapon pointed at you.

How can these guys afford to let people learn how to ride on their bike?
