Title: Swing arm spools
Post by: 1tinindian on December 29, 2010, 03:42:54 PM
Can these be put on a stock FJ swing arm?
Anyone have pictures of it done for use with a rear lift stand?

Sure.  I've been thinking of doing this to my '91 but haven't got round to it yet.
If your swingarm is hollow like mine, I'd put a solid spacer inside the swingarm for strength and to keep from collapsing the arm.
Since I haven't done it yet, I have no pictures either.

Cheers,
Arnie

I thought of welding a nut to the bottom of each side of the swing arm to tread a spool into.
Should look fine with it all installed.

Leon,

Yes,I make spool mounts that attach to both steel and alloy FJ swingarms.
This link shows Bpros YZF with my spool mounts.

This link shows my YZF with the spool mounts. I've used them for 8 years, with no problems. They attach to the arm  by drilling 2 or 3 1/4in holes for 6mm bolts. They take spools that mount with 8mm bolts.
