Title: Brake and clutch master cylinder switches.
Post by: Harvy on April 09, 2009, 06:52:35 PM
Guys, the FZ1 rear end swap involved fitting a hydraulic pressure switch banjo bolt for swing arm clearance......... I'm just thinking.......for those of us contemplating front end upgrades......... would not the same switch solve the wiring issues involved with different model masters being used.......ie. forget using the micro-switch all together, just connect the wires coming from the banjo bolt directly to the existing FJ micro-switch wires.

That makes to much sence (but in that case it will never work ) I know for the front brake for sure and if the clutch is a normley open switch it will work there  :good:

the switch on the FJR has three poles..... 1&2 are normally open.... 1&3 normally closed

connect the FJ lines to the normally open terminals so that the circuit makes when you pull the lever..... the normally closed terminals are used for the ABS on the FJR.

I just wired my FJR clutch master after leaving the wires hanging there for a year. Was a pain to slide into neutral when starting in gear, but now all is well.
Oh ya, I wired the two outside poles on the switch to the existing FJ wires and it seems to work fine.

Cheers...Jake
