The bad weather hit Holland yesterday and I had to ride the 50km from work in this!
The FJ was great and I made it home in one piece.Bloody cold feet though.Maybe I need to get an XT.

That's some brave riding.
We will be seeing this weather any day now!
Take care,
Leon
Yikes, I didn't know Bridgestone made the Blizzak for motorcycles! Nice work and glad you made it safe... :good2:
wow white stuff. never seen that stuff before....... beats 30 degree heat and grasshoppers hey? :blum1:
That's challenging! I'm sure your engine had not overheating issues.
That must have been one "white knuckled" ride. How did you manage stopping without losing it?
Ian,
Well done surviving your journey. The FJ is definitely not a good bike for the snow. The weather here has also gone nuts. At this time of year it's usually dull & wet with some frost but the last week has been bitterly cold with about a foot of snow. I commute 6 miles each way across town to work on my little Honda 250. This has just been possible but probably not wise. Anyway on Friday I'm off for week to Fuertaventura - 24C & sun!
Stuart (Glasgow, Scotland)
I meant +24C - that was a dash not a minus!
The ride was abit of a nightmare but using the gears only and keeping my fingers well away from the front
brake it was bearable.Surprisingly the cars were giving me space for a while but as it got worse I took to the cycle path (plenty in Holland) for the last 5km.Slippy but atleast I wouldn't get run over by a truck.
And to think I came to Holland to escape the Scottish winters! After 2.5 hours of stress I had no aches from the riding position. It would have been agony on my GPz9.
cheers
