If one was going to attend a rally which group of guys are cooler? the east coast guys or west coast guys?

Easy answer....ALL of them, including the upcoming Colorado Rally.

I'm a bit leery about showing up to the next Tellico Plains ECR.
After the Screaming Mimi incident, I understand that Rossi has something special planned for me...

 I know everyone at the rallies are cool, I wasn't questioning that. But I figured there must be a "cooler" than normal cool group.

I have a sneaking suspicion that it is the east coast guys, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions........in case I may be wrong.

I know I am not cool. I am from the East. I have attended the Northeast Rally. Whether this makes the (North)Eastern group less cool by association is open for debate. Perhaps another way of going at it is which is the best looking group? I hope your stirring stick is long enough that you don't get any on ya!

Well, we are all cool....but, if you are thinking about attending a WCR then next year is the one to make.  Just wait until I officially announce where the next WCR is going to be - it will be the BEST WCR ever!!! It is so freaking cool I cannot believe I even pulled it off!!  I'm just finalizing the details now...

If they do see it you could ban the K man for public safety reasons (then bring him back later)....just say he is still getting over the whole Pinecone incident and that his is now on the "No fly list". I already have my wife understanding that I'm going to Colorado, but now I ask myself, why not try to make a run to Cali?
I eagerly await further details!

As far as which is best, I'll hold my opinion until I have attended each one of them.
I just can't see any of them being a "bad" thing!

No, probably not. As I've said, I just can't stand long drives. For me a long drive is anything over about 90 minutes. Petaluma was just borderline for me. I miss going to the rallies because I have a pretty boring life and getting away from the house and actually doing something was a nice change. But I've missed out on many other things over the years because of my long distance phobia. I've backed out on rides to Yosemite and trips to Glamis sand dunes (both are places that I really wanted to go) just because they are too far away. I don't know why I have no tolerance for long trips, but I don't. Maybe it was the long non-stop drives to visit family in Iowa that I was forced to endure as a kid?

I'd like to attend again if it ever makes it way back to Petaluma (or closer), but don't move it on my account. What ever the majority of attendees want is what counts.

Marsh, There is a KOA in west sac that might be close enough (but not sure) for George :rofl2: :wacko1:  :dash1:

This year was my 1st, and I am dreaming of next year hoping that I'll be able to make it to the WCR......
Plans are in the works for a move to Colorado, and it's looking like we might be moving around the time that it would be planned.
We'll see how it shakes out  :hi:

WCR: June 2nd - June 5th, 2010.  Around Hayfork.  I'm still finializing the rest of the details with the owner and should have the contract (yes, a contract) and everything else firmed up early next week.  But the dates are solid.

Adding to the confusion is the fact that there are 2 east coast rallies, spring and fall. West coast only 1...Not sure but Frank and Klavdy may be the only members to visit all 3.

I have not made the west coast and for various reasons probably won't in the near future. Of the 2 east coast rallies I prefer the fall. There seems to be a greater supply of great roads, and less travel to get to these roads. On the other hand the spring rally has a much nicer campground and better access to shopping and restaurants and the riding ain't half bad.

Pat, Marsh, Klavdy, and more recently Iron Butt Mike have all made the east coast fall rally and like the folks east coasters all were great guys. Pretty sure you can't go wrong.

Actually, Klavdy has been to 4 WCR's, the 1st Colorado "Central" Rally, 1 ECSR & 1 ECFR.  He definitely takes the cake for the most traveled rally attender.

Not to pick nits, but Frank has never been to a WCR - hopefully this will be the year!!
