I couple years ago I started out on a Hyosung gt250r. It was a great first bike for me. But my arms would get tired real quick from the aggressive style and I would remind myself to bend at the waist. There are times now when I am riding my 84 fj1100 that I wish it had those racing handle bars, being tucked in with all the power would be nice. Have you seen anything like this. Any pictures would be appreciated. Is it more than just getting some R1 handle bars?
The biggest problem with using clip ons on the FJ are clearance issues. You need to be sure the bars would clear the tank and fairing. In fact most FJ owners are either ok with the stock bar setup or are looking to find a set a tad taller... I'm sorry I cant be of more help..

Thank you for the response. I kind of knew people would want to go the other way. But sometimes I really want to let her GO !!!!!!!!!!!! but it would be nice to be tucked in more. Those with racing handle bars are always looking for risers and here I kind of want the reverse.
Hey Karl, check with these folks to see if they have anything which will clamp on to your 41mm stanchion tubes below the top triple clamp.

I don't think anyone in our FJ crowd has tried these yet. There was discussion on the Yahoo list a couple of years ago but no one pulled the trigger.
Beware the tank clearance issue that Eric posted.
Hope this helps
