Ever since buying my FJ I have wanted to pull it apart and inspect the front area and try to eliminate some annoying vibrations, and I succeeded.
The areas where there were contact between two separate components I filled the gap with an insulating tape that is used in wrapping copper tubing used in the manufacturing of beverage ice makers.
It sticks quit well to any surface as well as itself, so doubling it up to fill a void is easy.
After getting things all buttoned up, and taken for a ride, I was very pleased in the reduction of the noises that used to emanate from the IP and upper fairing.
