Hi Im from Lakeland Florida my name is Robert And I would like to introduce myself, I ride an 86' FJ1200 and I will post pics in the appropriate section in time!
Hope to get much use on these forums and just talk and share information! :good2:
Welcome Robert. Some very smart, unselfish folks hang out here. Over the years, they have helped me soooo much with my FJs. Cheers! Pat
Welcome here Robert, this is not your doing, clearly, but you're like # 4 new member in the last ~24 hours, and at least one other rides an '86. Interesting. Anyway, lot's of good folks here, with lots of good information.

Fancy so, you did buy it! Glad you like it, welcome aboard the fj train.
BTW this is ultimate fighter from customfighters.com
Numb nuts is full of shit, he don't own that bike, or even know the owner of that bike.
It's a small FJ world and we are not that ignorant.......... (popcorn)
Hope you have some proof cause that was kinda mean... :pardon:
Oooohhh! Do we have a juicy conspiracy by a troller here?
I did a little searching around and here is what I have found out:
- that FJ was for sale in Tampa Bay FL on craigslist
- it is an FJ1200 and you said in your first post here: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=2549.msg20185#msg20185 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=2549.msg20185#msg20185) that your FJ is an 1100
- you said you rode your FJ home 35 miles and Indiana is a lot farther than 35 miles from FL
- you said you purchased your FJ for $1000 and this one was listed for sale for $600 obo
You also didn't answer any of the technical details questions we asked you about the bike.
That's all I know so far. Maybe you have two FJs? :pardon:
Marsh I think you are mixing up Numb Nuts and FJkid (unless they are the same guy)
and for the record that front end would be found on a 93-95 zx7.

Ahhh...Travis, you are correct - my bad! Sorry fjkid!
So Travis; why do you think that Lt Numb Nuts doesn't own that FJ? He does appear to be in the Tampa Bay area...
Numb Nuts says he lives in lakeland, the guy that posted the add (named Jay) is from Odessa.........
(popcorn)
nope nope not the same guy he's a guy that posted up on my other forum customfighters.com that he was thinking of buying an fj1200 that's been bobbed. I said "DUH" and we asked for pics and he posted that same picture of the fj on his computer screen, so i told him to check out fjowners.com. He didn't post any response to whether he got it or not but i was trulling on here and found his intro post.
I'm not stepping on peoples toes here just trying to clear up some confusion.
Hey nice research there buddy but i don't live in florida :rofl2:
this is mine (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs160.ash2/41332_1546765839303_1539754918_1388290_544790_n.jpg) :hi:
Sorry fjkid that was my fault for creating confusion. I think you did clear it up for us, it seems as though thinking of buying a bike and owning it is the same thing!
according to LT. Numb Nuts anyways.......................
so whats going to happen to that nice 85 you have there, is that going to be a custom fighter? or are you going to restore it to its original beauty?

Longer tailsection! Or a hugger possibly? Otherwise you'll throw rubber muddy rainwater all over your back....

yessir a hugger or a 2-up ducati 1098 tail
you seem to be jumping right in, but tearing it apart is often the quick and inexpensive part.
Good luck with your progress :good:
