Title: rear rotors for a 91, same as 90?
Post by: frano on September 16, 2010, 11:58:47 PM
Are the rear brake rotors the same on 89/90 as 91/92?  Do you know if 7mm is good enough for awhile?

all fj's use the same rear rotor.

which is also the right front rotor on the 84-87 fj's .

7mm is the wear limit according to the GYSM.  You may be able to 'get away' with using them till thinner, but it is not recommended.

I should just check this out myself, but that would require that I remember to do it.  Easier to ask.

Is there any offset to the rear rotor?  If not, then could a front left be mounted in a flipped over position and work as a rear?

I'm fairly sure the only difference is the direction the grooves slant....
