Since this is my first GPS unit, I decided to get a used one. I felt the price was more than reasonable, and the PO only ever used it in a car. The motorcycle mounting gear, and power cables are still sealed in the box, and untouched(well, they were until i got my hands on it)
I know some of you have them, and would be interested in your thoughts on where you mounted it?
I was thinking of something along the lines of mounting it to the steering stem nut...
Anyone who has done this, has it worked well?

I bought the Ram mount from cyclegadgets.com to fit my Nuvi 1300. I went with the stem nut mount (which required poking a big hole in the top of the nut), and I've ran it all season with absolutely no problems. I'm pretty satisfied with the arrangement.

i have my zumo on a ram mount coming off the clutch reservoir mount.  i have a long arm for the fjr, but it doesn't work well with the fj, so i just use the supplied short-style arm.
