Title: FJ 110 Pistons
Post by: FJ Aussie on September 04, 2010, 10:40:37 PM
Hey,

Spent a bit of time on the bike at the weekend. As I was pulling the motor apart I dropped one of the pistons and it cracked under the top of the piston. Do I have to go and buy a new set of 4 pistons now or can I get away with just getting one to replace the cracked one?

Cheers

One's enough.  Make sure they all weigh about the same if you want to get anal about it.

But if you're already that deep in it, there really isn't a better time to upgrade the set for some compression boost.... and it's not that much more expensive yet to overbore....

During my move I have come across several 1100 pistons and cylinders. I have one cylinder with the four pistons as it was removed from the engine.

If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

I have a complete fj1200 cylinder with 1202 legends car pistons. very good condition.
$200 plus shipping.
This is a huge upgrade for the 1100, lots more torque.

I was interested but it will be a couple of weeks before I can even think about spending the $200.Had a bunch of extra bills due at the same time.If they are still available in a couple of weeks I might do it.
