Well, usually it is my schedule that keeps me from attending, this time it's me. I am in need of neurosurgery on my neck which is going to keep me off the FJ until next spring, away from long-distance travel by car for some weeks, and off of my skis and dirt bike for a year.
What a bummer. The fall rally I attended a few years ago was a blast and I've been looking forward to it this fall. Oh well. At least the surgeon told me that those fun activities will just be interrupted, not permanently forbidden.
I turn 55 next month, and for the first time get the feeling that the FJ will outlive me.
Ride safely and post a lot of photos.

Dean, get yourself fixed up, there will be rally's for years to come. Good luck on the surgery and I hope you make a full recovery..

sorry to hear that you are having health issues Dean,
I hope the procedure works out and you will soon be able to enjoy yourself (and your FJ) again.
KOokaloo!

That sucks Dean. Here's to hoping it all turns out just fine.

Thanks for the kind replies. The prognosis is good, and I should be back on the FJ in the spring. Perhaps I'll finally get the front end of my '86 upgraded while I mend.
I'm still looking forward to the rally, even if it is just looking at your new photos and remembering my last trip to Tellico in '06. Time flies!
